Pepper Jackie has 12 picks. 1 out of every 4 picks is orange. The rest are green. How many picks are orange?

if we grab the 12 picks, and divide it in bunches of 4, it'll be 3 bunches of 4, 3*4 = 12.

in each bunch, there'll be 1 orange and 3 green ones.

3 bunches, 3 oranges.
