Given expression is

[tex](x^3+\frac{2}{x})^8[/tex]

This is of the form

[tex](a+b)^n[/tex][tex]\text{where}a=x^3,\text{ b=}\frac{2}{x}\text{ and n=8}[/tex]

Recall that

[tex]In\text{ the binomial expansion of }(a+b)^n,\text{ there are total n+1 terms.}[/tex]

Here n=8.

[tex]In\text{ the binomial expansion of }(x^3+\frac{2}{x})^8,\text{ there are total 8+1=9 terms.}[/tex]

Hence option A is correct.
