Licensing hours was where Bar's could only be open for certain amount of time.
Newspapers and radio broadcasts were censored so people could not hear updates on what was happening in the war.
Food was rationed 
British Summer Time was introduced so factors where open later and people worked harder.
Mines and railways were taken over by the government. meaning train movement was used for the war.
