Step 1: Simplify both sides of the equation.

−23(3x−4)+3x=56

(−23)(3x)+(−23)(−4)+3x=56(Distribute)

−69x+92+3x=56

(−69x+3x)+(92)=56(Combine Like Terms)

−66x+92=56

−66x+92=56

Step 2: Subtract 92 from both sides.

−66x+92−92=56−92

−66x=−36

Step 3: Divide both sides by -66.

−66x  /-66= -36/-66

x= 6/11
