since each unit in the graph increases by 2 let's take that into account when we are trying to find the side lengths of the rectangle and triangle

area of the trapezoid=area of triangle+area of rectangle

area of triangle=bh/2

6x6/2=18

area of rectangle=bh

SO  =  Length of rectangle

SK.  =  Width of rectangle

SO=6

SK=4

area =(SO)(SK)

6x4=24

so add both areas of the triangle and square

24+18=42
