A line is 180 degrees, if I'm not mistaken. It can be straight and shows the increase or decrease in a graph. A point, however, is shown and a circle marking a specific spot in the graph no is shown by parenthesis, a comma, and two number, like (5,8). This means that the point is shown 5 to the left and 8 up.
