What is the difference between Ablative and Dative cases?

The Dative case is grammatical case used in some languages to indicate among other uses, the noun which something is given, when the Ablative case is a for nouns, pronouns, and adjectives in the grammar of various languages, sometimes used to express motion away from something. Hope that helps!
